Sale of our Farrier F41 Explorer Catamaran

As the third owners of the Farrier F41, we have equipped the robust, fast offshore cruiser into a true explorer catamaran.

We have designed the ship to be single-handed so that it can be sailed safely by two people. Looking at the navigation technology, it is equipped with the latest systems and redundant equipment. The ship is prepared for a possible electrification of the engines.

As true Farrier fans, we enjoyed sailing it for seven years over 18,000 nm. We explored the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and the Caribbean, the Bahamas and the US East Coast on an Atlantic circumnavigation. Professionally, as consultants and coaches, we have used the catamaran as a tool for personal development in Ocean Action Learning®.

We are enthusiastic about its comfort, seaworthiness and handling. We are selling the boat in search of a new boat with 2 metres headroom for Bernhard. We would be happy to show you the boat moored in Portugal in the Algarve – either virtually or in person and take it for a test sail.

The purchase includes a one-week introductory sail.

at Multimar, Riga/Latvia (Karlis Kalviss)

“The F-41 is designed to be a safe and roomy cruiser. She has outstanding speed and handling. Race-winning capability is central to Farrier’s success, without sacrificing interior space, seaworthiness or structural integrity. The F-41 is essentially a cruiser that will appeal especially to those with experience of Farrier designs who are now looking for a larger craft with more accommodation and facilities for living aboard and also ideal for long passage making.”

Dinge die wir lieben

Features of the Explorer Cats that we appreciate

Helm station inside

A fully protected helm station with Raymarine plotter and on-board computer with Time Zero routing software as well as access to all the ship's controls. The comfortable pilot chair enables a relaxed navigational watch in all weather conditions during the day and at night with a full lookout all round.

New MSM power winch

All halyards and reefing lines converge in the cockpit at the 48 V electric winch and can be operated from here in safety. We do not leave the cockpit when setting and lowering the sails.
And it has a remote control for single-handed rigging of the large carbon headsails Code 1 and Code 0.

Shaded helm station starboard

The airy outdoor main helm station on the starboard side with all navigation devices and USB charger has a wonderful, stable shading that also protects during wind and rain. Very important to keep cool when sailing in the Mediterranean or Caribbean in summer!
Stromversorgung regenerativ: 10 Solarpanels von Pheasun mit je 110/120 Wp (=1120 Wp)

Solar system

There is space for 4 fixed panels with 440 Wp on the saloon roof and a pivoting solar field with 680 Wp is mounted on the Targa at the rear. Efficiency is increased by 40 % if the panels are tilted towards the sun and the tree is braced to the side. Charging without noise and diesel consumption!

Superwind wind generator

The only one that is really quiet and efficient and also reliably supplies the energy that the ship consumes during operation at night and in bad weather in the wind range of 5-50 knots. With a little practice, you can also estimate the wind speed from the sound 😉

Aquatec water maker

The modular Aquatec watermaker made of high-quality industrial components fits in perfectly and produces 110 liters of water per hour, so the tank is quickly refilled at anchor and at sea. The water tastes very good, and there are also carbon filters in the drinking water system.

Talamex Dingi / 20hp Mercury

Our water taxi for 6 people is unbeatable. It can easily glide with 2 people thanks to the 20 HP outboard motor and hangs safely and securely in the Targa at the stern on two easy-to-use tackles.
– Driving a dinghy makes you happy!

Telescop gangway 2,20-4m

The robust aluminum custom gangway can be inserted into sturdy brackets at both sterns and will be suspended from the stern masts. For noiseless nights in the Mediterranean harbors!

Motor bike stand / Cockpit

For a few years, we strapped our BMW R1200 to a custom aluminum bracket in the cockpit and went on beautiful motorcycle tours on the Mediterranean islands and the Canary Islands. We used a harbor crane for loading.
